| For BMW
WilliamsF1 driver Ralf Schumacher there was a possibility that he would not
be able to race at Monza as a result of his crash during testing at the same
circuit. But he was to
be given the all clear by the FIA medical delegate Professor Sid Watkins to
take part in this weekends Grand Prix.
"Ralf went for checks in Salzburg on Wednesday and brought all the papers
with him to the track today," said a team spokesperson. "He saw Sid and was
asked a few questions and Sid basically said he was fine."
Ralf added: "I had an X-ray on Wednesday and it was okay. They found my
brain in there, it was a bit small but they found it! I suffered headaches
for the first two days after the crash but then it was no problem. The
accident doesn't bother me and my goal is to try and keep my slim chance in
the Drivers' Championship alive."
Despite his chances of securing the drivers title been slim the fact that
Ralf is able to take part in the Grand Prix is of great importance for the
WilliamsF1 team as they aim to maintain their first place in the
constructors championship fight. |
