Ralf out of Italian Grand Prix

BMW WilliamsF1 driver Ralf Schumacher has been forced to pull out of this weekend's Italian Grand Prix in Monza. His place is to be taken by test driver Marc Gene.

At this time no word has come from the WilliamsF1 team but it would appear that Ralf's departure is a result of his testing accident from which he is still suffering headaches.

On Thursday Ralf was passed fit by the FIA's Professor Sid Watkins and it seemed that he was ready to take part in the race. But it was reported that Ralf was still complaining of headaches after the first qualifying session.

He departure from the race means that any title aspirations that Ralf had are now over and he will be put into a position where he has to support Juan Pablo.

For Gene replacing Ralf should not be that much of an issue as he has spent considerable amounts of time behind the wheel of the FW25, including the recent Monza test.
