| Ralf confident of beating Michael | |
| BMW WilliamsF1 Team driver
Ralf Schumacher, who along with team-mate Montoya, is turning out to be the
only serious challenger to Ferrari's Michael Schumacher. Ralf still believes
that he can challenge his brother but how his FW24 chassis performs will
have a major bearing on how his fight with Michael turns out.
In a recent interview for the French magazine Ralf said: "The main objective is to win the Championship, not to finish in second place. But if winning proves to be impossible, then I hope to be able to obtain second. At the beginning of the season we saw that the opportunity was there and as long as it exists, we will be able to fight for the title. The Ferrari F2002 is
brilliant at the moment but I am certain that if BMW Williams succeed in
producing the same package, Juan or I can beat Michael. I have already won
against him with a package that was weaker so I do not believe that that is
a problem. There are some drivers who are very close in performances; the
only advantage that Michael possesses at present is all his experience and
the fact that he has the best team around him." |
