| Any driver could win in a F2002 | |
The success of the new
Ferrari F2002 has been very much a talking point in Formula One. Such is the
dominance of this chassis that even Sir Frank Williams, in an
interview with a British Newspaper, The Guardian, thinks that almost
every driver can win in this car. "Could they win it without Michael?"
Williams said. "Yes. I think that if the next
four to six drivers on the grid jumped in that car to varying degrees they
would win." "Perhaps not by as far as Michael but they would put a championship together because it's not only the car, it's the team. They benefit from outstanding race strategy, excellent preparation and until the last two races excellent reliability. Happily that seems to be diminishing." In a piece of humour Williams added: "Perhaps I ought to go to church and pray for it to get worse. No, sorry, I shouldn't have said that." But he went on to say :"I have to watch my words," he says, "because I always regret what I say." |
