| Barcelona Test 20:01:2004 Day Two of Five | |
The second
day of the BMW WilliamsF1 test at Barcelona would see the team joined by all
the other Formula One teams except McLaren and Minardi. Ralf Schumacher and
Juan Pablo Montoya were present for the WilliamsF1 team. Both drivers had
new FW26 cars at their disposal. The
day would see the teams run under sunny conditions on the Barcelona circuit.
The circuit owners had been widened and re-profiled the La Caixa corner.
This had the effect of slightly reduced the lap distance, but the work at
this corner had allowed for greater opportunities to pass.
it was a day that would see the
BMW WilliamsF1 team dominate, with Ralf leading Juan Pablo in the times.
Ralf continued to work on mechanical set up of the FW26, concentrating on
the suspension and dampers. He would also spend time working on aerodynamic
set ups. Ralf would complete eighty two laps, with a time of 1m:15.666 which
was a new lap record. |
