Nelsinho Piquet satisfied with his performance

The BMW WilliamsF1 team again used the services of Nelsinho Piquet at their recent test programme at the Circuit de Catalunya. Piquet would come away from the test satisfied with his performances..

Nelsinho Piquet with his father NelsonPiquet spoke of his performance. He said: “Considering it was my first run here, I am satisfied with my performance and think that Williams are satisfied too.

I managed to achieve a satisfactory lap-time and provide the team with some good feedback.

I adapted myself better than from the first time, because I knew the car. I was a lot more confident, less nervous and achieved more.”

For Piquet this was his first time at the circuit and he would set a time that was six-tenths faster than that set by Nico Rosberg. Such was Piquet's performances that the team had him assist in the evaluation of various setups using last year's FW25.

From WilliamsF1 Sam Michael commented on Piquet's performance. He said: "Nelson picked up testing responsibilities alongside our two other drivers here today. "We had some interruptions but, across the day, managed a useful 700km or so. Nelson made a good contribution.”
