Valencia Test 11:03:2004 Day Two of Three

BMW WilliamsF1 test driver Marc Gene would end the second day of testing, at Valencia's Ricardo Tormo circuit, with the second fastest time. Marc, using the FW26, was the only WilliamsF1 driver present as the team continued their preparations for the Malaysian Grand Prix.

After the previous days wet conditions the team attempted to complete their test programme but showers in the afternoon hampered their progress. Marc would complete sixty one laps with a best lap time of 1m:10.248.

WilliamsF1 Test Team Manager Tim Newton commented: "Once again, Marc Gené was in the cockpit of the FW26 at a sunny Valencia today. We spent the second day of the test doing some traction control work as well as completing set-up evaluations for Malaysia. Antonio Pizzonia will replace Marc tomorrow for the last day of the test."

The Valencia test finishes tomorrow with Pizzonia taking over from Gene.
