After the
frustrations of having to watch the Ferrari's dominate performance in
Australia BMW WilliamsF1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya is concerned that the
team does not have a car that can challenge the F2004. Montoya
said: "I don't really expect a miracle. It's very hard to say we are going
to have a miracle...or say it's a car that's going to win some races." The WilliamsF1 team is optimistic that the hot conditions in Malaysia will be more suitable to their Michelin tyres, a factor that will be carried into the race in Bahrain on April 4. Montoya added: "We might surprise ourselves and have a car that is quick enough to win here, or maybe we'll surprise ourselves by being 10th. It's very hard to judge."
Despite the extensive winter testing Montoya was quick to acknowledge that
the team still had a lot of work to do in bringing the FW26 up to speed. |
