With the WilliamsF1 team yet to announce their 2005 driver line-up, one driver that has been touted as a possible replacement id Giancarlo Fisichella. After his performance during the British Grand Prix his name is again been talked about.

BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen commented on Fisichella's performance. He said: "That was very interesting to watch, that he was able to move to sixth from the back of the field and that's something that we have to look into."

"He had a fantastic race... a strong race, strong finish and strong driver obviously," said Williams Director of Engineering Patrick Head.

As for his chances of joining the WilliamsF1 team Head added: "He's always been on the list."
