IT has been
announced that the Brazilian oil company Petrobras will again extended their
partnership with the BMW WilliamsF1 team. This will be the eighth year of
this arrangement.
The team has now more extensive Petrobras logos on the teams car with their
name taking over the position previously occupied by Castrol. The increased
sponsorship will also see the company produce a new fuel for 2005.
WilliamsF1 Technical Director Sam Michael said: "Petrobras have been a
long-standing technical partner of the team that lend us real competitive
advantage, and never more so with the recent rule changes to engines.
"The new race
fuel we will be using in 2005 has helped us retrieve some of the engine
performance that would otherwise have been lost to the rule changes." |
