The start of the
European Grand Prix would see Mark Webber spin into retirement after been
involved in an incident involving McLaren's Juan pablo Montoya.
When interviewed regarding this coming together Mark was quick to admit that
it was his fault.
mark said: "Getting away hasn't been our strength. Both Nick and I obviously
were on the back foot down to the first corner a little bit, but there's no
excuse really to hit Juan Pablo.
"I was trying to defend against Jarno because it was very important we
stayed ahead of him and I just couldn't quite get it turned in at the apex
so that was a shame.
Mark added: "We were on a good strategy today actually, very different to
Nick."
"It's not up to Juan Pablo to give me room at that stage. I think he for
sure turned in but he's got to go round the corner ... maybe if you had
rubbed his sidepod it would have been better but wheel to wheel there's too
much damage." |
