Decision expected soon from BMW

Decision by end of the month
 

For BMW Motorsport Director Dr Mario Theissen any decision that is made in regard to the nature and extent of BMW's involvement in Formula One will be based on what is best for BMW. A decision is expected by the end of the month.

Mario TheissenTheissen said: "I wound not say 'this is what I want' but maybe if I have a clear view I would say 'this is what is best for BMW'. I am not sure a decision will be made next week, it will be by the end of the month."

Theissen said that a proposal has been submitted to the BMW Board. Contained in this document are several possible outcomes in terms of BMW's involvement in Formula One.

Theissen added: "It will include several options and it is not put together by me personally but includes all the BMW expertise."

As for the current relationship with the WilliamsF1 team Theissen said that it had become "uncomfortable".
