Jerez Test 28:09:2005 Final Day

The BMW WilliamsF1 Team would complete their two day test in Jerez, with
Mark Webber, Antonio Pizzonia and Nico Rosberg shared testing duties over the two days. They would complete over 300 laps, a total of just over 1,300kms. This would be the teams last test until November due to a test ban.

On the final day both Antonio Pizzonia, who will replace Nick Heidfeld in the two remaining races of the season, and team-mate Mark Webber worked on test schedule that included tyre evaluations for the final race of the season the Chinese Grand Prix. They also worked on the evaluation of new brake ducts and front suspension settings.

Mark would complete 104 laps, with a best lap time of 1m:16.668. Antonio would complete 81 laps on his way to posting a best time of 1m:16.715.

WilliamsF1 Technical Director Sam Michael commented on the teams two days of testing. He said: "Today marked the end of our in-season testing programme. The WilliamsF1 test team has worked hard all year at various venues to progress the reliability and performance of the FW27. They will now take a well earned break before starting again at the end of November. Mark, Antonio and Nico spent the two day test concentrating on brake and electronics testing as well as set-up options. The drivers also ran tyre evaluations to select the compounds for Shanghai.”
