As the team prepares for the opening race of the 2006 Formula One season in
Bahrain, the WilliamsF1 team would continue their test programme. This time
the team would return to the Valencia circuit with Mark Webber and Alex Wurz
carrying out the driving duties.
At
the end of the day, despite off-track moments, Mark would set the fastest
time of the day with a time of 1m:10.691. This was over half a second faster
than his nearest rival while driving the newer of the teams FW28's. Mark
would focus on performing longer runs and would set his time late in the
day.
For the WilliamsF1 team the performances of the FW28 can only be
encouraging. For team-mate Alex Wurz he would finish the day in fifth place
with a time of 1m:12.657. Alex would only complete forty seven laps, half
the number that Mark completed.
The team will continue testing
with Nico Rosberg joining Mark Webber. |
