McLaren's Engine development for 2007 looks dismal due to an unexpected move by the McLaren's Engine Development guru Markus Duesmann. Markus will move to BMW to replace Heinz Paschen who has assisted

BMW Engine Development for F1 Cars in recent years. He and the team have agreed for him to move aside for Markus who will join the Engine team in January next year.

Markus expects this to be a new challenge for him and is looking forward to working with the BMW Engine Developers to bring a winning formula to the BMW Engine. BMW are a team wanting to win races soon and this new addition to the team in 2007 should give them a boost. However BMW only recieve Markus's services in January and will mean that the first course of Winter Testing will be carried out with the old BMW Engines designed by Heinz Paschen. If any changes are made after Christmas to the engines that Markus helps develop, they may affect the car i.e. differences in Vibrations that the Engines lets off, resulting in the Car having to be developed to suit the Engine's needs (Not fact, a Syco theroy)

Many key staff from McLaren have recently jumped ship...or about to next year, some defecting to Renault and now Markus to BMW, I wonder how many key personel are going to defect before the new season?
