Lewis Hamilton finished 3rd on the first day of testing at the Jerez Circuit in southern Spain. Lewis, 21. Pedro De La Rosa only managed 6th place, behind Anthony Davidson who finished in 5th, clocking a time of 1:24.437, De La Rosa being just 0.00.005 of a second behind the Super Aguri driver. Britains Lewis Hamilton has found some new pace in the Mclaren Car. The 21 year old could not beat the two Ferrari drivers of Luca Badoer and Felipe Massa, Massa setting the fastest time of 1:19.462, the complete times are below for Jerez day 1.
