Jarno Trulli put in a flier near the end of his programme today to pip Fernando Alonso to the top sport by just one hundreth of a second. Michael Schumacher put his Ferrari in third, whilst I believe Kimi Raikkonen was fourth.

I say 'believe' as the Java Live Timing provided by the Circuit de Catalunya official website list Kimi as being fourth with a 1'14.899 ahed of BMW's Nick Heidfeld.

While McLaren's official site says Kimi was a couple of hundreths off of Nick.

Nethertheless, Kimi was definately out there with 17 other drivers, including his team mate.

Both Mercedes powered boys were concentrating on tyre selection for the Spanish GP, and continued with set-up work.

However, despite 103 laps of the track, Juan Pablo could only manage the 14th fastest time, and there is no confusion over that one!

Nine red flags cropped up throughout the day, causing interruption on track. Another interruption was probably the Takuma Sato driven brick which is the Super Aguri. Taku's fastest lap was over five second's off of Trulli's leading pace.

Finishing on a McLaren note, both drivers will continue testing tomorrow, hopefully pumping in some faster, more promising times.
