Berger: "We are in no hurry to name drivers".

It seems that prior reports suggesting that Scuderia Toro Rosso would be announcing it's 2007 driver line-up soon after the new year were unfounded. In a recent interview from his holiday break, team co-owner Gerhard Berger sounded like a man who is in no rush to officially confirm the roster. With no formally declared line-up, the speculation that Berger may be looking at other drivers - especially ones with the ability to bring sponsorship money to the team - continues unabated. However, autosport.com is reporting that he has dismissed any such suggestion.

Berger insists that he is not strongly considering a change from last year's line-up of Vitantonio Liuzzi and Scott Speed. "Of course Tonio and Scott are in pole position for the STR drives in 2007," said Berger. "We just had to sort out other things. We are not in a hurry to name drivers."

He also reiterated his interest in the possibility of trying to bring three time CCWS champion Sebastien Bourdais into the team next year. "He was quite impressive. He is certainly in the frame for 2008."
