Recent statements by Michael Schumacher's manager indicating he might be after an ownership stake in Scuderia Toro Rosso have come as a complete suprise to co-owner Gerhard Berger. "I know nothing about it and nobody has spoken with me about it," Berger told the newspaper Kleinen Zeitung. When asked wether his stake in the team might be up for sale, Berger said that, for his part, it would make "no sense" to buy into STR only to turn around and sell off after only slightly more than a year. He did imply, however, that he has no idea how fellow co-owner Deitrich Mateschitz might be currently be inclined to react to a buy-out proposal.
