Bourdais' last chance?

Sebastien Bourdais feels that his window of opportunity for a future in F1 quickly is running out. His upcomming test for Scuderia Toro Rosso next month at Spa, the third with the team since last December, may be his last shot. As of right now, no other teams are showing any interest in him.

"If it's going to happen, it has to get going pretty soon,” Bourdais told reporters during this past weekend's Champ car event in Cleveland. “You don't get into Formula One past 30 years old, and I'm 28, so it's pretty clear it's either going to be next year, or probably never."

Despite being a three-time Champ Car champion and a F3000 champion (in 2002) Bourdais is still on the outside of F1, looking in, and this frustrates him immensely.  "I've been around long enough. I know in a good car and good conditions, I can get it done. It's all about getting the right opportunity." Reports indicate that he expects a quick up or down decision as to whether or not he has a slot with STR in 2008 after the test is over.

When asked what his plans were if he isn't offered a seat at STR, Bourdias said that remaining in Champ Car was the most likey option, but also mentioned that he is open to exploring his options in NASCAR.
