Although Scuderia Toro Rosso is not “officially” up for sale, that has not stopped potential buyers from considering it. The latest to throw his hat in the ring is now Tony Teixeira, head A1GP. Having just concluded a deal with Ferrari to supply engines and chassis for his A1GP and A2GP series, Teixeira may now be looking at the Ferrari-powered Toro Rosso team as his ticket into Formula One.

"I am looking around and have been speaking to two or three different teams that are maybe available for sale. Toro Rosso are one of them," Teixeira told Reuters.

Red Bull may be eager to unload their portion of the team. Current partner Gerhard Berger and Nicholas Todt, manager of Sebastien Bourdais, are also considered to be potential buyers.
