Giancarlo Fisichella was once again Jordans best hope for the qualifying session at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona. He was able during the afternoons session to slot his Jordan Honda in 12th place for tomorrow's GP.
Takuma Sato had a difficulty with the balance of his EJ12 and was only able to place the car into 19th.
Taku:
"All round a difficult session. Circumstances were difficult today and I found the car very nervous. I worked with Dominic Harlow for the first time and it was a bit harder for us to find a balance as we were not used to working together. I am sure we will find a better balance in the morning session which will put us in better shape for the race."
Giancarlo:
"We did a good job with the car as the balance was good. We need more downforce to help the grip levels tomorrow plus more power."
He felt that he had achieved the best performance from the car. Although he was disappointed to be outside the top ten, the Italian reported that the car was well balanced and that he enjoyed a trouble free session.
