Giancarlo Fisichella has been in talks about a move to Sauber for 2004 according to the Swiss Team. Although the Italian is contracted to Jordan next year, he is known to want to move on.

Giancarlo has been increasingly vocal over the last few races and is getting more and more critical about Jordan and the performance of the EJ13.

He made it known towards the start of the season that he wasn't happy and although his comments were retracted it's quite obvious that Jordan isn't his first choice for next season.

Both current Sauber drivers, Nick Heidfeld and Heinz-Harald Frentzen are out of contract at the end of this season. A Sauber spokesman said "The drivers are talking to other teams and the team is looking at options. As part of that process, Giancarlo was in Hinwil on Wednesday."

Eddie has already said that Jordan wouldn't stand in Giancarlo's way if he wanted to move on and as such are resigned to the fact that Fisi won't be in the EJ14 next season.

Jordan Fans hope that Giancarlo remains 100% committed to Jordan for the remainder of the season and that these developments don't distract him from the job at hand. No doubt, there will be further developments as the weeks progress.
