Eddie Jordan has been to Holland to visit Jos Versappen's sponsor Trust. He flew over in a private helicopter for the meeting with the companies CEO Mr Michel Perridon.
It would appear that Jordan now are the only team on the grid with driver vacancies for 2004. Minardi today announced that Zsolt Baumgartner (a former Jordan test driver) had been offered their final race seat.
Nick Heidfeld has signed a preliminary agreement with the team. This is dependent on Jordan finding the capital to keep racing.
Trust will be able to provide at least 10million euros worth of sponsorship to the team if Jos was given the drive. This would doubtless ensure that Nick would take up the race seat next year.
