It started with the Australian Grand Prix in 1996 and this weekend will see Giancarlo Fisichella compete in his 100th race. Pitpass.com unearthed some stats about Giancarlo. He has completed 80 races, with 26 top-six finishes earning him 81 points, an average of one point for every race finished, and with five 2nd and four 3rd places, more than 10% of his races have ended on the podium. He is one of only three drivers who have finished the last three races in the points.
Giancarlo who has scored all of Jordan's point this season is starting with Honda's new evolution V10 engine. Honda have been working on reliability for the new evolution of it's engine. The new spec will be introduced for Friday and for qualifying on Saturday.
We wish Giancarlo all the best for the race on Sunday, let's hope that we can close the gap on Sauber and perhaps even overtake them in the championship.
