Ross Brawn has given a strong hint that the retirement of Michael Schumacher from Ferrari will not signal a mass exodus from the Ferrari team. Key contracts are up for renewal at the end of the 2004 season but Ross has hinted he is more than willing to remain at Ferrari if Schumacher goes.

Speaking to ITV the Technical Director said "One day Michael will stop racing but it would be a challenge to see if we could win the championship again with another driver. It might be nice to go through that challenge and see the team through that period."

Many are predicting the end of Ferrari in 2004, with contracts on Schumacher, Barrichello, Todt, Byrne and Brawn all up for renewal. But Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo has already stated that he is confident that many of those contacts can once again be extended. And Ross Brawn seems to be up for another challenge!
