Ferrari's season is easy to sum up, domination is all you need to know about the way the 2002 season has went for Ferrari and as the final race of the 2002 season looms Jean Todt has spoken about the unforgettable season he and Ferrari have enjoyed.

“We come to the final race having achieved everything we set out to do at the start of the season. After Michael took the Drivers’ title in Magny-Cours and after securing the Constructors’ in Budapest, we completed the picture at Indianapolis, where Rubens Barrichello made sure of finishing second in the Drivers’ classification.

"The end of the United States Grand Prix with two Ferraris crossing the line in first and second place, separated by just eleven thousandths of a second, served as a kind of symbol for a fantastic season, the story of which can be told in figures: 205 points, 14 wins, 8 one-two finishes, 9 pole positions and all in 16 races.

We want to end this Championship on a high note and we are keen to win in Japan, a country which is important for Ferrari and Maserati, as well as for Bridgestone, a key partner in the success we have achieved. Along with Spa-Francorchamps, the Suzuka circuit is one of the most fascinating and toughest on the calendar, both for the drivers and the engineers. This circuit has been the backdrop to important moments in our recent racing history, dating back to 1999 and the first of four consecutive Constructors’ titles, followed by Michael taking the Drivers’ crown the following year. No matter what happens in the race, this will have been an unforgettable season.”
