Italian citizenship for Rubens Barrichello

Rubens Barrichello is to be given Italian citizenship by the Italian Embassy in Brazil. The decision was taken after the Austrian Grand Prix on Sunday in which Barrichello was ordered to give his well earned victory to Michael Schumacher.

The Italian ambassador Vincenzo Petrone said he was ashamed for the "historic humiliation" of Barrichello and wanted to do something for Rubinho.
Barrichello actually applied for Italian citizenship last year, but the process will now be accelerated by the Italian government.
