Barrichello could still get 1 point from Monaco

Rubens Barrichello could still yet get 1 point from the Monaco Grand Prix due to an official investigation into 4th placed finisher Jarno Trulli’s Renault. No details of what this investigation are about are available but it is rumoured to centre around missing tamper proof seals on the gearbox.

If Trulli is removed from the final standings it will elevate Barrichello who finished 7th into the final point scoring position. These seals have led to points reductions in the past as Mika Hakkinen’s McLaren was found to be missing these seals after the 2000 Austrian GP. A FIA decision is to be made later in the week but until then the results from Monaco remain provisional.
