Final day for Ferrari at Mugello

Michael Schumacher took over the testing duties today as Ferrari brought to an end their programme at the Mugello circuit. Schumacher was joined at the venue by BAR driver Jacques Villeneuve and Anthony Davidson.

Driver: Michael Schumacher, F2002 chassis no. 218
Weather: air temperature 28/34 °C, track temperature 25/37 °C, cloudy, rain and then sunny.

Fourth and final day of testing this week for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro at the Mugello circuit. Michael Schumacher was driving today, working on the selection of Bridgestone tyre types for the forthcoming British Grand Prix. Schumacher covered a total of 68 laps (of which 9 on the short version of the track.) His best time was 1’22”634.

Once again today, the BAR-Honda team were also testing at this circuit: Jacques Villeneuve covered 71 laps (best time 1’25”073) and Anthony Davidson did 83 laps (best time 1’25”217.)
