Ferrari's win at this season's Austrian Grand Prix has highlighted the controversial nature of team orders.

Following incidents at the Austrian Grand Prix and the subsequent World Motor Sport Council hearing in Paris, the FIA has decided to establish a working group to review team orders and to offer guidelines for their application in future.

As part of this process the FIA has decided to consult all of motor sport's stakeholders, from motor sport fans to motor sport team principals, before the working group makes its final recommendations.

As part of this process of public consultation the FIA web site now includes a section in which the issue of team orders is discussed. The FIA would encourage members of the public to contribute their own suggestions to the review by visiting the FIA web site or by simply emailing comments to teamorders@fia.com

The deadline for contributions to the review is September 1st, 2002.
