Rumours are common place at an F1 weekend but one rumour is that Jordan driver Giancarlo Fisichella is looking to drive for Sauber in 2003 with the blessing of Ferrari. Peter Windsor speaking on Sky Digital F1 states that Giancarlo’s management has been talking with Luca di Montezemolo about a switch to Sauber with Ferrari’s blessing.

Fissichella who will miss the French GP after his practice accident was said to be close to a Ferrari deal prior to Rubens Barrichello signing his new deal and it appears he still has an eye on a drive with Ferrari. If he was to go to Sauber he would be looking for it to be a stepping stone to Ferrari.
