Jerez Test
04:03:2009 Day Four
The fourth day of the AT&T
Williams test would see Kazuki Nakajima take over the testing duties from
team-mate Nico Rosberg. Following the days affected by rain overcast
conditions dominated the weather today. Strong wind gusts in the afternoon
also made things difficult.
Despite
the conditions Kazuki had a productive first day out on the track. Kazuki
continued the teams preparations for Australia, working through set-up
options and mechanical and aero component checks with the FW31.
Kazuki would complete eighty three laps with his fastest lap of 1m:21.948s
coming on his twenty first lap. He would finish the day sixth fastest
covering a total of 367kms.
Williams F1 Technical
Director
Sam Michael commented:
“We spent all day working on set-up, combined with aero and mechanical part
testing. In addition, we also carried out some starts testing. Overall, it
was a productive day during which we gathered a lot of data. Kazuki was
driving today and will finish the week off for us tomorrow.”
