The AT&T Williams team would quickly return to testing after their five day test at Jerez. The team were again testing this time at the Circuit de Catalunya near Barcelona. Kazuki Nakajima was again present as the team continued their preparations for the first round of the championship in Australia.

NakajimaAfter early showers the track started off partly wet but with no further rain the track would dry out allowing the team to conduct dry weather running. Kazuki would set a best time of 1m:22.813, completing 111 laps, a total of 516kms.

The team would complete a race simulation in the afternoon including pit stops. It was felt that the Williams team was running with a heavy fuel load during the day after comments from Dickie Stanford. The team were running with a front nose that had a what looked like an aerodynamic shaping underneath.

Williams F1 Test Team Manager Dickie Stanford commented: “Kazuki Nakajima started this week’s four day Barcelona test with a set-up programme followed by a race simulation, which we successfully completed this afternoon. The team are now getting the car ready for tomorrow’s run for which Kazuki will carry on with our set-up work preparing for Australia.”
