The results of the 2021 Italian GP would see Williams Racing secure a ninth place finish with George Russell. This would see the team add to their points tally for the 2021 championship. Nicholas Latifi would finish in 11th but for the majority of the race was running in the top ten. But he was to lose out when a Safety Car was deployed and other drivers were able to pit gaining on the track as a result including George. The race was one that the team expected to not perform well in but both Nicholas and George would again show that the etam is making forward progress as they work back towards the front of the field.

The grid for the fifty three lap 2021 Italian Grand Prix had been settled after Saturdays Sprint and for the Williams Racing Team Nicholas Latifi and George Russell would be starting from 13th and 14th. On pole would be Verstappen followed by Ricciardo, Norris, Hamilton, Leclerc, Sainz, Giovinazzi, Perez, Stroll and Alonso in tenth. After his crash and subsequent engine change Gasly would start from the pit lane while Bottas would be starting from the rear of the grid after also taking an engine change. As for tyres the Williams cars were on the medium  tyre. For the rest of the field those on the medium would be the whole field except for Hamilton, Kubica, Bottas and Gasly who all were on the hard tyre.

Prior to the parade lap we would see Tsunoda's car wheel off the grid so it was looking like both AlphaTauri are going to be starting from the pit lane. But it was not looking good for Tsunoda as he was having a brake issue and he would not take the start. The grid would complete their parade lap and with the start it would be Ricciardo leading from Verstappen and Hamilton. Giovinazzi would be spun dropping to the end of the field. Gasly was also travelling slowly and he was joined by Giovinazzi who was missing his front wing. There would be a virtual Safety Car as Giovinazzi got back to the pits taking on a new front wing and returning in last.

The Safety Car would finish as Ricciardo continued to lead. Replays showed Giovinazzi coming back onto the track and making contact with Sainz. George would be passed by a fast moving Bottas seeing the Williams 14th. Nicholas continued to run in 11th with five laps completed. Lap eight and Ricciardo was still leading by over a second from Verstappen and Norris. Nicholas would pass Ocon for 10th. Perez would pass Sainz for sixth while Bottas was now 12th. Nicholas would start to close the gap to Alonso who was in ninth. Hamilton had closed the gap to Norris and would try to pass. Bottas would pass Nicholas for tenth seeing the Williams drivers now 11th and 14th. Verstappen was now over a second behind Ricciardo with Norris still third.

The order was Ricciardo, Verstappen, Norris, Hamilton, Leclerc, Perez, Sainz, Stroll, Alonso and Bottas tenth. Ocon in 12th would make contact as Vettel tried to go past. Lap sixteen and the race was fairly static with gaps between all the cars. Ocon would receive a five second penalty for his contact with Vettel, with Ocon currently running close behind Nicholas. Bottas would pass Stroll for eighth using his DRS. Ricciardo would pit on lap twenty four taking on the hard tyre. Vettel would also pit with Ricciardo now seventh and Vettel 16th. Verstappen would pit the following lap but would have a very slow stop dropping down to 10th as a result of an eleven second stop.

Nicholas would also pit taking on the hard and returning in 14th. George was now 12th as Norris would continue the pit stops coming back out in eighth, also changing to the hard. Hamilton was now leading and would pit on lap twenty seven. He would return in seventh behind Norris. But the race would be turned upside down as Verstappen and Hamilton would make contact at the first chicane seeing both cars in the gravel and both out of race. This would see Ricciardo leading as the Safety Car came out. Several drivers would pit under the safety Car including George. Under the Safety Car Ricciardo was leading from Leclerc, Norris, Perez, Sainz, Bottas, Stroll, Alonso, George and Nicholas tenth but quite a few drivers would pit under the Safety Car gaining on the track as a result.

As the Red Bull and Mercedes were recovered the field would run behind the Safety Car. The Safety Car would come in on lap thirty two with Ricciardo leading. Norris would pass Leclerc making it a McLaren 1-2. Bottas was able to move up to fifth while Ocon would pass Nicholas for 11th. Bottas would pass the second Ferrari of Leclerc using DRS but Leclerc would fight back retaking fourth. Bottas was now closing in onto the top three and would set a very quick fastest lap. Of the top eleven cars Bottas was the only one on the medium tyre. In third Perez would be given a five second penalty for an incident at the chicane where the stewards felt he gained an advantage. Botta's move forward to come to a stop as he continued to run in fourth.

Mazepin would stop at the side of the track seeing a Virtual Safety Car deployed. His car would be removed and the race would restart. Vettel would pass Kubica for 12th. Ocon was closing onto George with forty six laps completed. Ricciardo continued to lead with the Williams cars running in 9th and 11th with Ocon splitting them with fifty one laps completed. Now it was announced that Stroll was under investigation for not slowing under yellow flags. He was running in seventh behind Sainz. The final laps would be completed and it would be a McLaren 1-2 with Ricciardo winning and Norris second. Bottas would finish third as Perez took his penalty. Leclerc was now fourth followed by Perez, Sainz, Stroll, Alonso, George, Ocon and Nicholas 11th. Ricciardo would take the fastest lap on the last lap. Another points scoring result for Williams Racing with two points for George.
