Team Summary:
The second Friday practice session for the 2022 Hungarian Grand Prix would get underway with a large number of drivers coming out with the medium and hard tyre being primarily used. As the first times came in Sainz would be quickest from Perez and Schumacher with a time of 1m:20.487. Both Williams cars were out on the soft tyre as Leclerc was now quickest with a time of 1m:18.911 from Verstappen and Alonso. Sainz was now second followed by Verstappen, Perez, Alonso, Alex, Vettel, Magnussen, Hamilton and Russell tenth. Alonso would improve to be fourth while the Williams pair were now sixth and 17th.

Stroll was able to move into sixth ahead of Zhou and Alex. With fifteen minutes completed the track would empty including both Williams pitting. Both Williams drivers would return on new soft tyres but one car would spin at Turn one ruining his soft tyres. The other was now 10th while the second car had dropped to 13th. Norris would go quickest with a time of 1m:18.962 followed by Leclerc, Alonso, Vettel, Sainz, and Hamilton sixth. At the front as more soft tyre times weer set Leclerc was fastest with a 1m:18.445 followed by Norris, Alonso, Vettel, Sainz, Perez, Hamilton, Zhou, Verstappen and Stroll now tenth. The Williams pair were now 14th and 16th but this would become 18th and 20th.

With Norris second Ricciardo was third but Sainz would move ahead seeing Ricciardo fourth now followed by Alonso and Vettel. Verstappen would improve to be fourth ahead of Ricciardo and Alonso. With the final ten minutes drivers were out with the medium tyre the most popular as we still had Leclerc quickest followed by Norris, Sainz, Verstappen, Ricciardo, Alonso, Vettel, Russell, Perez and Bottas tenth. The session would come to an end and the drivers were bale to complete practice starts from the grid. There would be no change in the order while for Williams this session was again be a far from encouraging sixty minutes. But given the fact that Saturday is reported to be wet day their times from their Friday sessions may not be of that much concern. But if they are representative of their race pace that is a very big concern given that Sunday is meant to be dry.

Alex Albon:
Alex would come out for his first run using the soft tyre and he would set a 1m:20.670 to be sixth. He would pit briefly after just three laps returning again on the soft tyre now seventh. Alex would complete a further four laps now eighth. Alex would again return with a new set of soft tyres but he would go off stopping at the side of the track at Turn one. He had to contend with a lockup going into Turn one seeing his new set of soft tyres ruined. Alex would recover from his spin and would pit now 13th. He would slowly drop down the order to be 20th and slowest. With just over twenty minutes remaining Alex would return on the hard tyre. Alex would pit after a nine lap run. He would return and complete a further two lap prior to pitting again.

Nicholas Latifi:
Nicholas would also run on the soft tyre for his first run setting a m1:21.590 to be 12th but would drop to 15th. Like Alex he would pit briefly having dropped to 19th. But with a time of 1m:21.382 he would improve to be 17th. After a further three laps Nicholas would again pit. He would return on a new set of soft tyres and with a 1m:20.488 would improve to be 10th. This would become 12th as more times were set. But like his team-mate he would drop down the order to be 18th. With fifteen minutes remaining Nicholas would return running on the medium tyre. With the end of the session he would pit having completed sixteen laps on the medium tyre..
