The Atlassian Williams Racing Team moves to the city of Austin Texas and the Circuit of the Americas for the 2025 United States GP. This weekend sees the return of the Sprint format with its own unique demands and limitations. The team is hopeful of continuing the momentum of the last few races coming into this event with the Sprint offering nother opportunity to secure more points. Both Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon are excited to be back at the COTA track. For the team their focus is the continue fight for fifth in the championship, hopefully something the team can build on after the US race. The team has also brought a special livery for this race weekend.

2025 USA GP Preview

Carlos Sainz:
It’s always great coming back to Austin, and with the Sprint format this year it’s going to be a really exciting and action-packed weekend on track. We’ve had a strong few weeks as a team and are building some nice momentum, so I’m looking forward to getting back out there and hopefully scoring more points to keep hold of P5 in the Championship. As an American owned team, going back to home soil always brings a lot of energy to the weekend, so it will be a busy one but one of the best weekends of the season.

Alex Albon:
Austin is a special place and somewhere that I always enjoy visiting. Not only is the food always good, but the city is great and the fans definitely bring the Texas energy. It’s the return of the Sprint format this weekend, so we’ll need to get up to speed quickly with only one practice session. It is a challenging and fun track, and it looks to be very hot this weekend, but it is a track that offers overtaking opportunities and has a great flow to it so anything can happen.
