October 16 2009
As previously announced, Brawn GP are will be running with branding from Brazilian brewing company Cervejaria Petropolis for the 2009 Brazilian Grand Prix, a one race deal concluded last month.

Cervejaria Petropolis has a strong sponsorship portfolio in Brazilian motorsport with their Itaipava beer brand, and the partnership with Brawn GP sees the company take Itaipava into the high-profile world of Formula One for the first time.

In the run up to the race, the partnership was extended to include the company's recently launched TNT Energy Drink brand, seeing the TNT Energy Drink joining Itaipava on the Brawn GP cars throughout the Brazilian Grand Prix weekend. TNT Energy Drink branding will feature on the airbox and rear wing end plate of the Brawn GP cars with Itaipava branding on the nose, sidepods and rear wing plus the helmets of the team's drivers Rubens Barrichello and Jenson Button.

"Brawn GP is delighted to welcome Cervejaria Petropolis and their Itaipava brand to the team and to Formula One for the very first time," said Nick Fry, Brawn GP's Chief executive Officer. "Our new partnership should prove to be very exciting as the season and the battle for the championship reaches its climax."

"We are delighted to have extended our partnership with Cervejaria Petropolis to include their exciting new TNT Energy Drink brand," added Brawn GP Team Principal, Ross Brawn. "The Brazilian Grand Prix is always a fantastic occasion, and with the championships set to be decided over the final two races, Interlagos will be hosting a very exciting weekend. We are proud to be associated with a prestigious Brazilian company in Cervejaria Petropolis for their home Grand Prix."

"We are very pleased to have agreed the partnership between Cervejaria Petropolis and Brawn GP for the Brazilian Grand Prix," added Douglas Costa, Corporate Marketing Manager for Cervejaria Petropolis. "Raising awareness of the Itaipava brand and our responsible driving message through our involvement in motorsport is extremely important to our company strategy and our first venture in Formula One is designed to take this awareness to a wider audience through the global reach of the sport. The opportunity to promote our newly launched TNT Energy Drink brand on the cars of Brawn GP is extremely exciting for Cervejaria Petropolis. TNT Energy Drink will appeal to both sportspeople and sports spectators throughout Brazil and Formula One is the perfect medium to showcase our new product to a wide audience."

Championship leader Jenson Button has a personal sponsorship agreement with energy drink brand Monster for the remainder of 2009.
