Translation: "We already saw on Thursday that the situation is difficult like in
Bahrain, or even worse as I used to be very quick here. It doesn't make
sense for me to push to the limits in order to take 15th or 17th place.
It's no point to risk a collision. If I was at the front and was
fighting for top positions it would make sense, but not in such
situation. The car is very difficult to drive, we lack grip and that's
it" said Robert Kubica.
"Maybe I could achieve more but I was released from the garage in the
wrong moment. On the outlap there were 4 cars in front of me and 2
behind. We have problems with heating up the tyres even with 30 degrees
Celsius temperature, so that was a problem. I had much more grip on
soft tyres when the red flag was waved. The car was handling much
better then. It's a shame because we could have better time. But it's
small difference whether we are 14th or 17th".
"We may be lucky tomorrow but there are many cars in front of us
and our pace is very poor. If 15 cars go off the track or have some
failure then we can win but even then it's not that certain. Even if
everything goes well, we won't be much faster that now.
"We are a strong team but we have to realise that we are not that
high on the grid like we think. We need to look at what happens more
realistically. Try to adapt and keep working. We've had problems for a
very long time, in fact since the middle of the last season. I think
that Mario will have something more to say on this subject." finally commented Robert.
As well, after Q1 it was visible that Kubica an Heidfeld spent a long time talking. It seemed that Kubica was on a "rant" and Heidfeld moved his head showing agreement. WIll be interesting what emerges afterall.
In our opinion a re-shuffle in the team seems closer and closer, especially after the disaster of this GP so far (and probably tomorrow too)
