Third behind them was Fernando Alonso,nearly half a second behind.The two Renaults occupy the second row,as Fisichella is fourth behind his team mate. Quali one was as usual - nothing extraordinary happened.Out went Takuma Sato,Sakon Yamamoto,Tiago Monteiro,Vitantonio Liuzzi,Scott Speed and David Coulthard.
During the second session,Michael Schumacher set an amazing lap record of 1:25:850 and topped the times.Out went Christijan Albers (who is 10 positions down due to an engine change),Nico Rosberg,Rubens Barrichello,Jarno Trulli,Pedro De La Rosa and Christian Klien.
The ten contestants for pole were Schumacher,Massa,Kimi,Alonso,Fisichella,Heidfeld,Kubica,Ralf Schumacher,Button and Webber.Everything rolled naturally until the last minute.Michael was leading,and Felipe was second,but a stunning last lap for Felipe gave him the pole.Behind them are Alonso,Fisichella,Ralf Schumacher(10 place engine penalty),Heidfeld,Button,Raikkonen,Kubica,Webber.
