Fabrice Lom, Renault's engine coordinator at Red Bull Racing, answers our questions.

Fabrice, Red Bull Renault's season continues to go well with a superb victory for Sebastian Vettel in Japan. How are preparations going for Interlagos and what are the team's objectives for the next Grand Prix?
We were all delighted with Sebastian's victory in Japan. Unfortunately Mark's race was not so positive, a bit like the team's weekend in Singapore. We have lost lots of points this year, which has made our task in the championship very difficult. For Brazil, the situation in the championship means we have to win, even needing a one-two to keep our hopes alive. So we must approach this race aiming for the maximum.

In terms of the demands on the engine, Interlagos is 800 metres above sea level. What impact will that have on the engine?
It makes life much easier for a lot of components, but not for all of them. Racing at altitude reduces the demands on the pistons as they experience less loading, but on the other hand, it's more demanding for the conrods. The other impact of the altitude if the relative impact of KERS as the extra power becomes more important because of the reduced power of the engine. The main straight at Interlagos is very long, so it will be interesting to see the impact of KERS in the race.

Sebastian Vettel is a very young driver, how is he coping with the pressure of fighting for the title?
He's very determined and never gives up. That helps him get over the disappointments he has experienced this year, such as the retirements in Hungary or Valencia, or even the red flag in Singapore qualifying or the penalty in the race. He is a real motivator for the team through his enthusiasm and determination.
