RBR China Free Practice: Vettel Fastest Again

Red Bull set the pace in both of the Friday free practice sessions for the Chinese Grand Prix - here's what the drivers had to say...
Sebastian Vettel: “We had a good day today, but it’s only Friday and so it’s early in the race weekend. We found a good rhythm and we’re happy with the car. There’s still a lot to do and I think it will be tight tomorrow and on Sunday, so we’ll look where we can improve. But, today we had no big issues.”
First Practice Session: Position: 1, Best Time: 1:38.739, Laps: 23, Chassis No. 3
Second Practice Session: Position: 1, Best Time: 1:37.688, Laps: 34, Chassis No. 3
Mark Webber: “I didn’t have the best P2, particularly on the short run with the new tyres, which is why my time is down a little, but the long run on the option tyre was good. We’ll look at Kers tonight – we’d like to run it this weekend of course. Generally it was a good Friday, we learned a lot and the car was reliable.”

Second Practice Session: Position: 10, Best Time 1:39.327, Laps: 33, Chassis No. 2

First stint for both drivers, hards, then 2 laps on softs, then the final stint on softs. Remember to shift SVs laptimes for the last stint to the left 4 laps to line them up with the start of MWs shift.

It would make sense for each car to test degredation for different stints in the race (ie full fuel/race start, 1/2 full/ mid-race) then combine data.
Also one car may have been testing the "significant update".

Doesn't look good for Mark ... 10th after FP2 ... while Vettel is consistently competitive.
I am sure Mark's side of the garage is working overtime to make him more competitive.

MW: I think it is a bit unfortunate that the two races are very close to each other. We did run it pretty well for most of the weekend in Malaysia, and in qualifying it reared its head. We didn't run in the race. It is a very complicated system and there were three or four days to get it running again. We ran it okay on Friday, but most of Friday afternoon we did not run it, and not at all today. But I don't think Seb has not been without his issues. He has had a smooth run with it, but it is still high maintenance. He has had a different run, but it is not seamless. The team is working hard on addressing it for both of us.
