F1 drivers are too boring! You may not agree with everything Mulder71 has to say(especially which drivers he'd drop)but he has some very interesting points............... (the start of the article may not make sense - it's straight from the message board. I'm very lazy)

No point in comparing Eddy to Jos, Eddy was victimised by the hype in F1 to get clean boys that don't speak out in the cars. Same goes for Villeneuve this year and the same is the main reason why Jos is always having trouble finding a seat but i take it Ale won't agree on that last bit ;).

I for one would love to see Eddy back in F1, same goes for Villeneuve.

I would drop the likes of Webber, Button, Raikonen, Alonso, Heidfeld, Firman, Wilson, Sato and so on and so on without thinking twice. Who is cheering for these colourless robots that drive boring, talk boring, look boring. No one except for the sponsors thus the team bosses.

A driver should be outspoken, should be allowed to bitch about the car or team or other drivers if there is a reason for it, or even without reason. That's entertainment - that is what F1 should be all about. I'm fed up with these neat, can't do no wrong, happy-family teams they are all trying to be.

The Villeneuve-Button struggle was great, slashing each other in the press to fight it out on track is added value(not that there was much of a battle on track thanks to BAR's one car policy against Villeneuve).

All that gay stuff "I’d like to thank the team and we have a great car" that we hear is bull…..it tells me that even drivers admit that they do not matter much and can be sacked for the next monkey instantly. Do you really believe that Shummi in a Jordan or Kimmi in a Minardi would have mattered much for the Jordan, Minardi, Ferrari and McLaren results ?

The best car wins these days, the driver who takes a risk and crashes out trying to gain a position is not wanted…..they want robots playing it safe for one lousy point,. rather than a spectacular driver who gives all. Let the car do the work, just keep it on track and in one piece. We'll pass them with our pitstop strategy.

No way can I fully support one of these clowns that are afraid to say what they think and drive more in fear of spinning than in desire of overtaking.

I want to read & hear drivers challenging each other, I want to see risky overtaking moves, I want to see cars spin in an all or nothing move.

I Don't want to see boys in a car leading a race while they did not overtake one single car for it, i don't want the pitstops to be more important and decisive than the rest of the race.

So that leaves the arrogant driver who always thinks he is the best and will always blame the car or spin out if he's not fast enough to get to the points. Irvine, Villeneuve, Shumacher, Verstappen, Panis, Trulli, Montoya ..they are all at heart that driver, some have adjusted to the role they have to play to keep their job, other's are sacked and can hardly get a seat. Mind you I'm not saying they are in the same class….but they do all have the do or die attitude that I like in a driver. We used to have a grid full of these drivers, in 5 years you'll have trouble finding one on the grid.

The days of Irvine drinking a beer with Shummi in a club in Japan on Wednesday night while Irvine can become Champion on Sunday are long gone..

Now we have Kimmi stating in the press how he hopes Shummi's car will break down - What kind of comment is that for a driver who needs to win the race to become champion? He should be stating he's gonna kick Shummi's behind on Sunday, that's the spirit !

Man I drifted off topic.. oh well this topic was down the drain anyway ;)
