Antonio Liuzzi's mood is obviously in sharp contrast to that of his Red Bull Racing teamate, Christian Klien. Last year's runaway F3000 Champion describes how he feels to make the move from Test driver to Race Driver.

"It’s great news that I will racing the Red Bull Racing RB1 at the next three Grand Prix. I’m really looking forward to the opportunity. Of course it’s a shame for Christian as he has done a really good job so far this year, but the decision for us to share the races was made before the start of the season."

"Not many people get to make their debut at their home circuit! I love Imola and it will be great to be there, but it won’t be easy as it’s a very technical track. It will be very important to perform in these races and to bring back a lot of points. I have to try to perform well, as after my three races Red Bull will make a decision between the two of us. I’m fortunate as the three circuits I will race at have been good to me – I won in F3000 at Imola, Barcelona and Monaco last year. Monaco won’t be easy, but it’s a special circuit that I really loved in F3000. I’m looking forward to racing there in my Formula One car."

Liuzzi was testing at Barcelona last week, but his running was hampered by bad weather. He is now working with the team on final preparations before heading of to his maiden Grand Prix at Imola on 24th April.
