Important Announcement regarding TTF1

In what is becoming a week of ‘announcements from publishers’ I’ve decided to join the on going trend by making a couple of important ones myself. As most of you have been aware the site has been neglected over the past couple of weeks, and as I’m about to announce, it’s going to continue. I must start off with apologising to everyone who has visited this site, only to notice the same old story lines. Thankfully the message board has kept everything very much up to date with the latest Toyota news, so to all of those who have stayed TTF1 over the past few weeks, thank you for keeping everyone well informed.

As most of you know I am going to be away for much of the summer as I will be out and around the country doing numerous events like Goodwood, which took place last weekend. On Monday (17th July) I am away for 2 weeks as I will be with Vauxhall for the London Motorshow, which will be followed by some extra events at the start of August. To make matters worse I am leaving my current location to move to Canterbury, Kent in September to start a 2 year Media Production course, therefore most of my spare time is being spent with friends and most importantly my girlfriend who I will be moving away from (about 70 odd miles). As you can see I have a pretty complex summer, with many priorities being put first before this site. This has called for me to make a very tough, site changing decision…

I am announcing my departure from TotallyToyotaF1. This decision has been in my mind for a good number of months and I have tried to pick the best time to announce it. I have tried everything to think up ways of continuing to run the site, but the current workload has left me looking at this as a job, rather than something I enjoy. Even when my summer ends I have no idea how Canterbury will work out, as I will be spending most of my spare time making new friends and getting used to a new area. I could continue with the site, but it wouldn’t get the proper attention that it deserves. I hope you all understand my reasons, and at no point have I regretted being apart and running this site. I have agreed not to let the site die, as I believe we have a very strong fan base who deserve to have this site. I am therefore opening up my position as TotallyToyotaF1 Publisher to all, namely our regulars at TTF1. I would very much like to see a group of people running this site, and I will of course be around to help before finally leaving my post and handing down everything to the new owner(s).

I would like to thank Phil from RealHondaF1.com for his support over my decision and his help when I have been away; it has been very much appreciated. Karl and Luke who I have worked with over the past 2 years, they have helped make TTF1 a proper fan site and I thank them for their support. Most importantly thank you for making this site one of the best, without the fans there is no TTF1, so its pretty much down to you, I hope the foundations I have built will give this site something to work on.

I must state I’m not leaving yet, but will now be deciding upon the new publisher. I will continue to lead the site until we have a new owner, who is confident and knows what to do. If you are interested please let me know and I’ll give you more details.
