Toyota endured a miserable Qualifying Session, with Ralf Schumacher finishing 17th and Jarno Trulli was 18th. Reigning WDC Fernando Alonso took pole position ahead of team mate Giancarlo Fisichella whilst Alonso's rival Micahel Schumacher finished 6th
