Toyota welcomed back Ralf Schumacher for the fourth day of the Barcelona test, the German took over from their test driver Oliver Panis. The team again concentrated on tyre and set up in preparation for their upgraded car in a month’s time. Massa was again fastest. Felipe Massa was once again driving his two year old Ferrari, and it was unsurprising that he ended up fastest. Rubens Barrichello was the fastest 2006 racer, in his brand new Honda F1 car.

Michael Schumacher brought along Ferrari’s new 248 which managed to plot itself just ahead of Toyota and almost a second ahead of Kimi Raikkonen’s brand new McLaren.

Jarno Trulli just managed to keep ahead of fellow teammate Ralf Schumacher for ninth and tenth.
