The final day of testing was fairly low key as only Toyota and McLaren participated. Both teams ran their test drivers, with Panis and Zonta continuing in the new TF106B whilst de la Rosa and Paffett fielded the two McLaren’s. Olivier Panis completed the least amount of laps of all the drivers, with a mere 35 but finished top after a positive days testing. Ricardo Zonta rounded off his test in second, a tenth behind his teammate and a further 88 laps to his name. The TF106B ran with no major problems during the Paul Ricard test, and has been on par with many of its competitors.
McLaren’s Pedro de la Rosa and Gary Paffett was a couple of tenths behind the Toyota pair, who completed 52 and 77 laps respectively.
