Natural Fuel Additive Secret to RB5's Pace

By Ian Lockwood
April 1 2009

The pace of the Red Bull Racing RB5 surprised many in Australia. It has now emerged that the speed may be down to a fuel additive derived from the production of the Red Bull Simply Cola drink.

Launched in 2008 the Red Bull Cola is an entirely natural cola drink made from plant extracts including vanilla, mustard seed, lime, coca leaf - and importantly the kola nut.

During the processing of the Kola nut in the drink manufacturing process, a natural by-product Parfor Oil is produced. Red Bull scientists have found that this liquid acts as a super bio-fuel and when added to the Red Bull Racing RB5 fuel in small quantities leads to an average lap time gain of 0.2 seconds.

Another case of Red Bull Gives You Wiings.

LMAO too funny! Way funnier than the trick my computer played on me this morninhg. I turned it on and was hit with the blue screen of death. While I was panicking trying to find numbers for my banks etc thinking that the April Fools Day virus had hit me, the computer man told me it was just the RAM drive that had failed........not funny computer!

Probably - Red Bull thinks all Australians are slow.......(Sm14)
Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked, the good fortune to run into the ones I do, and the eyesight to tell the difference.
