Webber Predicts 1 - 2 Finish for Red Bull in Bahrain

Mark Webber has gazed into his crystal ball and predicts a 1 - 2 finish for Red Bull in Bahrain.
He has said that the RB6 is meeting all expectations so perhaps it is not surprising that he sees himself grabbing the top step in Bahrain, whilst team mate Sebastian Vettel will have to make do with second place. The Australian has allowed new Ferrari Driver Fernando Alonso the final podium spot.
Asked by Formula1.com who he sees on the podium for the season opening race, Webber replied "I like to believe that we are going to be there. Let’s make it that I win, Sebastian is second and Fernando third!"

Good to see Webber is thinking like me, i really think this years WDC will be fought out between Webber Vettel & Alonso.

I'm a great believer in the power of positive thinking.... so the season should be good.
mark webber usually is quite candid and open and at this early stage if he thinks that they can pick up where they left off it is a very good sign.
it is obvious that he feels as though with his leg/shoulder now all back to brand new his confidence is high. i am treating this as a positive look at the possibilities for the year.

Yep i agree, Webber would not come out and say this at the start of the season unless he was very very confident.

The RB6 has to be faster than the STR. Common logic would suggest this going on last year + development for this year.(unless RBR have totally stuffed up)
Its only testing but the STR looks quick.I would hope that RBR is at least up to 3/4 second quicker than STR on a low fuel run.
Outcome : RB6 is going to keep its real pace well and truly under wraps until Bahrain Quali then watch out!

You are 100% correct, Red Bull are faster than STR, but Red Bull are keeping their pace under wraps , but the funny thing is with STR topping the time sheets it is kinda showing Red Bulls hand, because all the top teams will know that Red Bull will be faster than STR.

Toro unlike Sauber is in no need of sponsorship, so I think Toro's pace is for real.
Then again it's only testing and while I don't see Dietrich Mateschitz allowing Toro to up stage the "A" Team. As they say the proof is in the pudding, Bharain should tell a different story.

Glad to see he's progressed from being a staunch realist to an optimist....I suppose a couple of wins under the belt might have that sort of effect.

I agree it is more of a statement of desire than a genuine prediction at this stage.....but "Webber Would Quite Like to Win the Bahrain GP" didn't quite have the same ring as a headline!
